I started this business nearly 2 years ago with the goal of helping make CNC machine upgrades more accessible and affordable to the community. Thanks to your support, we have grown and grown, and have reached a point that I just simply can’t keep up. I’ve pushed and pushed to find a way to make things more sustainable, and I’ve made great progress, but it just hasn’t been enough. Recently, I have seen more and more complaints about our leadtimes, and I have been simply unable to keep up with the volume of emails while also manufacturing and shipping orders.
I’ve spoken to a few mentors who have been through this, and they all say the same thing: Raise your prices. However, doing so would go against the mission that I took on when I started the business.
So, I’m going to try another solution. I have started the process of outsourcing order fulfillment through Amazon’s extensive delivery network. This will help take some of the load off my plate, in addition to providing a higher level of service to our customers.
Making this transition won’t be easy, but I’m confident it is the right direction for us to head. Effective immediately, several products have been marked “Out of Stock” on our website. These items are not going away – they’ll be available again as soon we have fulfillment in place. I’m still plugging away on existing orders, and those will still ship from our shop.
I can’t thank the community enough for the overwhelming support you’ve given me thus far. This business has been the absolute hardest thing I’ve ever done, but most days it’s also the most rewarding. I couldn’t do it without you.
